Be Not Unequally Yoked
OUR LORD'S ASSIGNMENT...
We are to tell people about salvation, that is what Jesus wants. He Commissioned you to tell everyone. To go into our circle of influence and preach the gospel. Tell people about salvation. Stop the gossip, stop telling people about other people. Stop worrying about the end to come.
Psalm 39:1, I will take heed in my ways, that I will not sin with my tongue, and I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. Wow, if that shouldn’t the case for us at times. (that’s grandma proverb for... Bite your Tongue).
So let us focus on what the Word says in 2nd Corinthians that can be just one reminder for us on how we can get more power for our assignment. . . Please read chapter 6:14-17. . .
What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and What communion has the light with darkness? and What Concord hath Christ or he that believes have with an infidel.
But he Starts in vs. 14 with Be ye not unequally yoke together with unbelievers. Look at Deut 22, vs 9) Lord says not to sow different seeds, so that the yield of new seed and and the fruit of harvest be defiled, and more direct to us here in vs. 10) that we Shalt not plow with an ox and a donkey together. As one is clean and one unclean, but also, they will not pull or be in step together.
We have no business or yoking with them who choose unrighteousness or ways of darkness. Only those people who are for God. We can let the Spirit of God himself guide you to the right people. Nothing is more beautiful than surrounding yourself with people filled with the Holy Spirit when your fire is burning low. They can refuel you and energize you. They are the kind of people eager to hear god's blessings in and for your life. They are the ones who are praying earnestly that God blesses you so that you can rejoice, and above all, the joy that shall be in heaven that you helped one sinner come to repenteth. They are the right people you should be with.
Please don't choose unsaved friends to confide in, people that don’t want God’s will and best for your life. When we have a personal need or person we want to pray for, choose the fellowship of a believer that you both might rejoice when that which was lost is found, so that which is the greatest work of the lord can be done, and and that we might hear one day Well Done!
So good! So true! Thanks for sharing that Chad! Love you man!
